Trendrr.com Announces New Two Way Developer API Platform
Understanding
the importance of automation and data interoperability, Trendrr offers
other organizations a chance to leverage their data and visualization
tools for other Websites, internal reporting and creative endeavors
August
6, 2009, New York City- Trendrr, the proprietary online tracking,
trending and dynamic graphing service developed by digital marketing
and technology incubator, Wiredset, today announced a new two way
developer API that will allow developers to access raw Trendrr data,
contribute to the metrics platform through open-sourced programs and
develop in collaboration.
As Trendrr continues to develop a
holistic view of business intelligence across the web, the new API
allows developers at brands, agencies, media outlets, non-profits,
market research firms and other web services to build new and aggregate
value services off of the data Trendrr continuously structures.
“In
this release we’ve focused on allowing users maximum flexibility on how
they manage their data and campaigns. The new Trendrr API provides a
powerful tool set for interacting with the Trendrr platform and
leveraging metrics for third party integration and middleware
development,” said Trendrr Chief Architect, Dustin Norlander. “Clients
can now utilize our API to automate their tracking setup and seamlessly
integrate their metrics back into their own reporting environments,
create new web properties that leverage our data and contribute their
work to the Trendrr community.”
Developers can now leverage
built in jsonp support, manage the addition or deletion of data, create
projects and alerts or re-configure data and graphs easily through
Trendrr’s API. The new developer hub is located at
http://developer.trendrr.com.
Example API usage can be found at
http://developer.trendrr.com/examples/tracking-twitter-trends/. This
example gathers key items to track from a web page, pushes them into
Trendrr via the API and pulls the resulting graphs back out for display.
Developers
who are building tools to make the Trendrr API easier to use for other
developers (language specific wrappers, etc) will be eligible for free
account upgrades and should reach out to developers@trendrr.com with
details about their project.
