Head of Business Development

Role & Responsibilities

Wiredset’s Head of Business Development will focus on client identification, new business acquisition, pitch development/presentation, and management of ongoing client relationships, along with planning and developing overall company sales strategy. You will be responsible for developing and overseeing all sales initiatives for the company’s products and services.

You will be a key contributor within a rapidly-growing organization, actively taking part in day-to-day strategy, operations, and new business development. You will work closely with all company executives in a fast-paced, always evolving environment, serving a key role in our continued growth and success.

Key areas of focus: Convergence, Television, Brands, Real-Time & Social Media

Skills/Experience Required

  • Preferred minimum of 5-7 years of experience working in a digital marketing and/or social media at an agency, brand, or media organization. Entrepreneurial experience a plus
  • Proven track record and experience with business develop, strategy, sales, and/or marketing
  • In-depth knowledge of current digital and social media trends as well as how they map to the needs of a brand or media organization
  • Superlative industry relationships within the digital community as well as with brands, media companies, and/or agencies
  • Familiarity with current pop-culture/media programming, memes, etc.
  • Must be a self-starter who combines a high level of business acumen with impressive organization skills
  • Highly proficient at developing and delivering presentations

Junior Web Developer

Wiredset is a leading digital agency specializing in marketing, brand development, and custom software creation. Trendrr Software Engineer

About Us

Trendrr is the real-time data processing muscle behind Trendrr.com, Trendrr.tv, and other media experiences.

What We Do

We process approximately a hundred thousand content items per minute. We process streams from many different sources. We analyze each message for relevance, sentiment, anticipation, gender, and many other classifications. We provide targeted analytics and curated content streams to our clients. Our clients include major television networks, movie studios, and major marketing agencies.

How We Do It

We believe in agility, but we don’t subscribe to any programming dogma. We are constantly refining, building and refactoring. Practically everything we do is real-time. We have developed our own custom distributed real-time processing stack. Big O matters for most of the problems we tackle. Not satisfied with available real-time search solutions so we built our own. Our rich query matcher can easily check a content item against hundreds of thousands of queries in under a millisecond.We are always striving for new ways to find relevancy in content. (For example, we want messages about the show “House” but we don’t want messages about working on a house or buying a house, ect.). On top of rich query matching we have built a machine learning classification layer that can be hand-trained or auto-trained. We have classifiers already built that can tell whether a tweet is about the weather, politics, tv, sports, etc.

Our stack is built on open source, and we believe in giving back wherever possible. Our API and backend is written in Java. We built a custom APIserver to handle real-time streams and REST requests at scale. Our front end is written in Python, with heavy amounts of JQuery JavaScript. We handle about 6000 writes to MongoDB per second and we store 10’s of terabytes of data.

We are seeking an intern to join our start-up to serve as a research analyst.
